The Trinity Cross
The elegant, geometric design of this sterling silver cross is inspired by the Holy Trinity and expresses it from every angle. The spiritual message embodied in the Trinity Cross is belief in the love and compassion of Christ’s atonement and His promise of Eternal Life. The first incarnation of the Trinity Cross design was in clay in 2011 when Charles Sherman made a free-standing ceramic sculpture. He then was inspired to transform the design into a solid sterling silver pendant, using the traditional lost wax method.
The Trinity Cross is composed of eight triangles. The front view is a triangle that is wide at the bottom and thin at the top; the side view is a triangle that is thin at the bottom and wide at the top. The sacred geometry of the Trinity Cross visually represents the pointing to and meeting of two directions: God's divine love for humanity and humanity's love for God.
In 2012, the Trinity Cross won First Place in the category of Inspirational Jewelry Design at the prestigious JCK Jewelers' Choice Awards international design competition.
