Infinite Healer
Two Revolution Infinity Ring
Sterling silver pendant
2016
The Infinite Healer design contains the leaf of the plant some call a sacred healing hand, and others call a scientific miracle botanical. A two-revolution infinity ring encircles the leaf, The dual symbolism within the design represents the blessings of health, healing, and longevity.
Cannabis has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. The sacred healing plant originated in Asia. It was introduced into Western medicine in 1839 by W.B. Shaughnessy, a surgeon who learned of its medicinal properties while working in India for the British East India Company. Its use was promoted for reported analgesic, sedative, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and anti-convulsant effects.
Today, we know that the chemical components of Cannabis, called cannabinoids, activate specific receptors throughout the body to produce pharmacologic effects, particularly in the central nervous system and the immune system. Cannabinoids have been used for years to counteract common side effects of traditional chemotherapy treatments, such as pain, anxiety, loss of sleep, nausea and lack of appetite. Current studies are investigating cannabinoid effectiveness to destroy cancer cells in breast, liver, neurological, and other cancers. *
Like all of my Infinity Ring sculpture and jewelry designs, the Infinite Healer pendant evokes ancient Feng Shui principles. The never-ending circular nature of its Infinity Ring form promotes infinite peace, love, abundance, healing, and harmony.
Infinite Healer is made by the traditional lost wax method, and is hand cast and hand polished.
The pendant comes with your choice of a 16,18, 20 inch sterling silver chain.
